Complete Support Consultation (CSC)

As an experienced referral practice, NKR Veterinary Specialists (North Kent Referrals), believes the traditional loop between you, the referring veterinary surgeon, your patients, clients and NKR is not complete until the patient and client are “handed back” into your care. Our Complete Support Consultation facilitates handing your patient back to you, at no cost to you or your client. This will enhance the welfare of your patient and we believe this is the how the ideal referral process should work.

BENEFITS OF THE CSC FOR YOUR PATIENTS
 

This is a further opportunity for your client to ask any questions that have occurred to them since their final discharge from NKR Veterinary Specialists. Any unforeseen difficulties they may have after their final discharge from us can be identified and corrected in good time. This is of particular concern in some cases where owners have either given up medication too soon because the patient “looked ok” or has become intolerant of being medicated. It is also of importance with the careful rehabilitation of certain orthopaedic repairs. Inappropriate management by the client can possibly have long term serious consequences for a successful outcome for their pet.

HOW DOES IT WORK AND HOW DOES NKR PAY YOU FOR THE CSC APPOINTMENT?
 

After your patient’s final discharge from us, if our specialist feels that it is appropriate, they will be handed back into your care using our Complete Support Consultation (CSC). If your client wishes to take up our offer of a CSC, we give them a letter with a reference number to present to you. We book a CSC appointment for them with you at your practice, timed so that you will have already received our specialist’s final report. During the CSC examination you are able to relate the condition of your patient to our specialist’s final report.
At the end of the month you invoice NKR Veterinary Specialists your usual consultation fee quoting the CSC reference number.

There is no “joining fee” for a “scheme”, no membership number or password for you to remember. The CSC is a simple idea available for all our referring vets to help us to support them in the care of their patients and clients. The Complete Support Consultation is available in most of our services except Dermatology, Acupuncture and Oncology due to their ongoing nature.
